Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson grew as a child in Mexico in a family who was devoted to music. Her early years were spent listening to classical music, boleros from the past, and the traditional romantic and ranchero ballads. Ana loves tangos as well the dramatic and opera performances. At age 16 she started singing and studying the piano with her mom. Flavio, a Mexican Tenor with a renowned reputation, began to provide her with more intense singing instruction. She furthered her training in music through the School of Music of Guadalajara University, then at the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. When she was a student, as well being a young professional in Mexico City and Guadalajara she was a member of several chamber ensembles as well as choruses. When she moved into the United States, she performed with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. After 2002 she relocated to southern California. She's a regular solo performer at events, private parties and other occasions singing classical Latin American Music. Passion and enthusiasm for art, music, and performing has her involved in many local projects as a teacher and performer. Ana was also an active member of the Community Chorus of Redlands as and the Inland Master Chorale and Performance Loft. Ana is hoping that, by sharing her knowledge her love of Latin American traditional songs, that she will bring about a desire, specifically in the younger generations in keeping the music alive.
