Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. The Latin Pop mainstream is influenced by his international impact. Una Lady Como Tu, the song that he released in 2016, received the Colombian Kids Choice Award in 2017 for the Best Song. In Medellin, Sony distributed La Industria Inc. and released ADN as his debut full-length album. Its Top Latin Albums chart ranked it at number 8. The following year, he joined forces with Ozuna to create Vaina Loca which reached number five on the Top Latin Albums chart. In the year 2020, he worked with Noriel for Mala Influencia and released the album Dopamina that year. He also was in a duet with TINI for her viral streaming track Maldita Foto. He appeared in 2023 with 2000, featuring the huge hit La Bachata. Turizo was brought up in a music-oriented environment since both his mom and his older brother are musicians. According to him, musicality was a fundamental aspect of his daily life. When a young boy was in school, he took guitar and saxophone. His initial choice of career was to become a vet however, his brother Julian convinced him to study how to sing under an instructor from a Cuban instructor. The end result was that he found his talent for singing and altered the direction of his life.
